The Basics

A ryssja is a net strut that is stretched by a number of arcs. The entrance is funnel-shaped and a further pair of funnel leads into the inner space. A guide arm guides the fish into the straw. Mardi Gras / Bur is the most common fishing gear after crayfish. It is a cage-like tool, usually made of metal mesh. Tina is a burial catching tool for lobster, crayfish and crab that is often cylinder or cube shaped.
