Vesterkalmare Byalag offers free fishing for young anglers. Please read and following the general fishing rules that apply for the area. Rules specifically for children and adolescents:
 Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 15.
 Only hand held equipment
 Must have valid personal identification
 Can fish on someone elses fishing permit (but the person does not need to be)
 The keeper must have taken note of and approved the applicable fishing rules and regulations.
 Persons under 16 years of age whose guardian has fishing rights in the Vesterkalmare village water area do not need to redeem a fishing license. Persons under 16 years of age need to be able to prove their guardian's fishing rights when checked by a supervisor, e.g. show a fishing license or prove identity.
