The waters in Överboda village offer fishing opportunities both in and out of the water.
The waters on the east side of the village are a beautiful inner archipelago with over 30 km of shoreline to fish on consisting of rock outcrops, stone beaches and reed bays that can be fished in all weathers. In addition to that, there are also hundreds of rocks and shallows for the fish to stand on.
On the west side of the village, the primeval mountain meets the open sea, and the next stop to the south is the Baltics and Poland. In the past, cod, salmon and sturgeon were fished here. And a lively pike in Segelskobbarna offers a bigger fight is all you can find in the shallows.
Launch ramps are available both at the ferry terminal Harparnäs and at the guest port Sandvik.
Överboda Fishing Association is a village association that manages the village's common land and water areas.
